  • Outsourcing helps you tap into proven expertise without the hassle of recruiting and managing full-time staff. You can scale up or down on demand, shorten time-to-market, and keep your in-house team focused on core tasks. Outsourcing can also alleviate crunch periods, especially toward the end of production or during post-launch support.

  • The process is tailored to your needs but usually goes like this:

    1. Initial Meeting – our operations lead discusses scope, timeline, budget, and contract types.

    2. Contract Negotiation & Signing – we agree on deliverables, timelines, budgets, and other terms and then finalize the contract.

    3. Onboarding – we set up the necessary tools, sync with your project, and begin work.

    4. Invoicing – as agreed, we bill on a monthly or milestone basis.

    We usually onboard new clients in under a week. For urgent projects, we do our best to speed things up.

  • We consider your and your team’s vision the one source of truth for game design and will implement it according to your specifications. If you require game design services, we can also provide those where we have expertise.

  • Absolutely. We have experience working with various Unreal Engine plugins and writing our own to wrap around external tech.

  • We understand ESRB ratings and ADA compliance and closely follow the video game culture in the US. If you tell us about your target audience, our engineers will monitor your project within their scope to ensure it meets your audience's expectations.

  • While we are in Scotland, United Kingdom, we work Central Time hours:

    • 14:00 — 23:00 GMT

  • We primarily work with Unreal Engine 4 and 5 (using both C++ and Blueprints). We're also experienced with C#, Unity, and custom in-house engines. We stay current on various technologies to fit your project's exact needs.

  • We respect confidentiality and will sign your NDA or provide our standard NDA if needed.

  • our code is your livelihood, and our code is ours. Our development environments are secured with VPNs, encrypted code repositories, and employee workspaces. We use hardware 2FA TOTP so only employees at their physical work desks can access our clients' data.

    Finally, we comply with the ISO/IEC 27001 information security management systems (ISMS) standard.

  • We typically invoice on a monthly or milestone schedule, per your preference. We keep billing straightforward and predictable.

    We tailor our pricing to our clients’ needs, so please reach out to our operations lead for a hassle-free quote.

    However, we generally offer software engineering at IC4 (principal) level from $68.40 per hour for contracts over 504 hours, $99.90 for crunch relief and contracts starting from 40 hours, and our services start at $136.40 for short-term consulting, starting from just one hour. At the IC1 (junior) level, our engineering work starts at $31.40 per hour.

    We also offer “off-season” discounts and discounts for particularly interesting projects. Please ask about discounts when you discuss pricing with us!

  • We take code quality seriously. Some of the methods we use to ensure we provide only the highest quality code are:

    1. We hire and promote engineers using an open source big tech career framework. Our engineers have measurably good skills, and we continue to evolve along the tech industry.

    2. We follow best practices in software engineering, such as Gerald J. Holzmann's The Power of 10 rules used in NASA/JPL.

    3. We follow Unreal Engine best practices, such as Allar's guide.

    4. We write functional/unit tests and strive for at least 2 assertions per function.

    5. Our code has great comment coverage, aiming for at least 10% comment lines/nodes per file or 10% nodes per blueprint. As a result, it is easy to maintain our code.

    6. We use strong static analysis tools like ReSharper and JetBrains Rider/CLion IDEs.

    7. We will work with your QA team or an external contractor to thoroughly test our code in the game.
